Behind the Bowl: How We Built Holiday Feast, Ollie's First Festive Recipe
By: Bryan Angolia, CRC (Certified Research Chef), Ollie Food & Science Team
Starting with the Star of the Show: Turkey
Every good holiday meal begins with the turkey, so ours does too. But we didn't want to stop at plain breast meat. Taking inspiration from a personal chef favorite, the turkey wing, we combined high-quality turkey with just the right touch of savory skin and rich turkey liver. That blend gives the recipe a lean, high-grade protein base along with the deep, craveable flavor dogs instinctively love. It's the kind of savory richness that lifts a pup's nose the second dinner hits the bowl.
Building the Plate with Sides
Great turkey needs the right supporting cast, so we filled out the bowl with a classic holiday harvest of vegetables and fruit, each one chosen for what it brings in both flavor and health benefits.
Butternut squash. Nothing captures the season quite like the warmth of roasted squash on a crisp, cool evening, and it brings natural sweetness, a velvety texture, and beta-carotene to the bowl.
Sweet potatoes and potatoes. These slow-burning carbohydrates give the recipe steady, lasting energy along with a healthy dose of dietary fiber. Sweet potatoes add extra antioxidants and vitamins A and C to every bowl.
Green beans. A crisp, low-calorie addition that rounds out the harvest blend. Together with the potatoes, they deliver a mix of soluble and insoluble fiber that supports smooth digestion and gut health.
Cranberries. A vibrant pop of zesty cranberry finishes things off. It adds a bright, antioxidant-rich note that turns the meal into a celebration.
The Ollie Standard
As festive as it is, Holiday Feast is made to the same standard as every recipe we craft. It's fresh and human-grade, minimally processed, with no fillers and no artificial flavors, and prepared in US facilities. Your pup gets the same real, wholesome food they'd get from us any other day of the year.
Give Your Pup a Seat at the Holiday Table
Holiday Feast is meant to be shared as part of the festive fun, which is why we designed it as a topper, mixer, or occasional meal rather than an everyday diet. Spoon it over your dog's regular bowl, and they get to join in the festivities with none of the disruption to their usual nutrition. Because when the whole family gathers this holiday, the pups deserve a seat at the table too.
